Maxima Grupė, which owns retail chains in five countries, has appointed two new members to the board of its Lithuanian subsidiary Maxima LT: Dalius Misiūnas, the chairman of the board and CEO of Maxima Grupė, and Margarita Plešakienė, head of human resources at Maxima LT. Dalius Misiūnas was also named chairman of the board of the subsidiary. Kristina Meidė, who was chairwoman of the board until now, will continue as a member of the board and as the company’s CEO.

Maxima Grupė has established Maxima International Sourcing Poland – a unit of the subsidiary Maxima International Sourcing, which provides agency services to the group’s retail chains in the Baltics, Poland and Bulgaria. The goal of the new company is to work closely with suppliers that operate in the neighboring country, both Polish companies and local representations of international companies.

Maxima Grupė, which owns retail chains in the Baltics, Poland and Bulgaria, is launching a competition for girls in the final years of school who dream of a successful career and want to get leadership knowledge and skills at the Go Forward Academy. This first leadership academy of its kind in Lithuania is dedicated to helping school-age girls discover their talents, develop skills and learn from outstanding professionals.

Maxima Grupė, the owner of retail chains in the Baltic countries, Poland and Bulgaria, has approved an operating strategy through 2025 outlining long-term vision, its main goals and priorities for development. Most important priority is transformation focused on improving customer experience and creating better work environment for employees. Investments of 600 million euros over 7 years into existing and new stores are planned.

The merger of the Stokrotka and Sano retail chains which Maxima Grupė owns in Poland was successfully completed on 1 February. The merged companies will operate under the single Stokrotka brand. Sano stores’ change of name will proceed in stages, with completion planned during the first half of this year.
