“Franmax” Becomes Subsidiary Company of “Maxima Grupe”

“Franmax” becomes a subsidiary company of “Maxima Grupe” which is subordinate to the parent company “Vilniaus prekyba”. As yet “Franmax” has been directly subordinate to “Vilniaus prekyba”. This decision has been made in order to clarify the structure of the group of companies and in order to concentrate the good practices, financial and intellectual resources of retail businesses for the purpose of the upcoming development.

“Franmax” company has been active since 2011. Since then the company gathered a strong team of professionals who can be flexible, reach for ambitious goals and adapt to constant changes that are inherent to retail business.

““Franmax” becoming a part of “Maxima Grupe” is a coherent step towards strengthening financial and professional potential of “Maxima Grupe”. At this moment, one of our main goals is active development. Therefore, this move will provide us with the necessary resources and let us act more effectively in Baltic States as well as to further execute plans of development in other markets”, says Petras Jašinskas, Chairman of the Board of “Maxima Grupe”

“Maxima Grupe” controls retail chains “Maxima” (in Baltic states), “Aldik” (in Poland), “T-Market” (in Bulgaria) and an online food shop “Barbora”. In 2016 the consolidated turnover of “Maxima Grupe” amounted to 2,693 million EUR.
