Kęstutis Gailius, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Maxima LT, will continue his career in one of Maxima Grupė‘s companies Emperia Holding S.A., that operates Polish retail chain Stokrotka. He will join the company as CFO. K. Gailius was also appointed the Vice President of the Management Board of Emperia Holding S.A.
“We believe that Kęstutis’ work experience and competence will contribute to the successful integration of Emperia Holding S.A. and ensure smooth cooperation between the teams. At the same time, it is a proof that Maxima Grupė is maturing as an international business, where highly qualified employees can seek career opportunities not only in Lithuania but in our companies abroad as well,“ said Dalius Misiūnas, the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Maxima Grupė.
K. Gailius joined Maxima LT in July 2016 as the Director of the Commercial Analysis Department, afterwards becoming Maxima LT CFO. He has 15 years of work experience in the financial sector.

I sincerely thank the whole Maxima LT team for the results we have achieved. Working here has given me a great deal of experience that I will be able to apply in my new position,” said K. Gailius.
Maxima LT will begin searching for a new CFO in the nearest future.
Maxima Grupė acquired Emperia Holding S.A. that opreates Polish retail chain Stokrotka this spring. Emperia Holding S.A. acquisition deal value amounts to more than EUR 284 million. According to the company, after completion of this deal Maxima Grupė has become the largest Lithuanian capital investor in Poland.
Retail chain Stokrotka has approximately 20 percent of Poland‘s market of near-home stores. By the end of 2017, it owned 437 stores in total. The company has about 8.2 thousand employees, turnover in 2017 amounted to EUR 607 million.
Maxima Grupė owns retail chain Maxima (in the Baltic States), Aldik (Poland), T-Market (Bulgaria) and food e-store Barbora operating in Lithuania and Latvia. In 2017, Maxima Grupė’s year on year turnover, grew by 4.2% and reached EUR 2.806 billion.
Maxima Grupė belongs to Vilniaus Prekyba company group - one of the largest retail companies in the Baltic States and the Central and Eastern European region.
