Eglė Šimė appointed as the new CEO of Franmax, the company owned by Maxima Grupė

Effective 19 October, Eglė Šimė, currently working as a head of IT center, was appointed as the new CEO of Franmax, the company owned by Maxima Grupė. To this date, Franmax was led by Dalius Misiūnas, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Maxima Grupė.

Established in 2011, Franmax provides franchise and agency services to companies of Maxima Grupė in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria and Poland. The company is responsible for search of suppliers and purchasing, development of corporate and private brands, improving efficiency of supply chain, development of stores, maintenance and development of IT systems and programs.

“At the stage of Maxima Grupė’s international expansion it is very important to meet fast and high-quality business needs. Therefore, development of Franmax activities is one of our strategic priorities. Due to this reason, we have appointed CEO who will put the main focus on further development of Franmax and its efficiency,” says D. Misiūnas, the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Maxima Grupė.

Prior to joining Maxima Grupė, E. Šimė had been working as CEO of Verslo Aptarnavimo Centras for more than 3 years. Previously, she took leading positions in various IT companies, such as Blue Bridge, New Vision Baltija.

“Franmax activities are of key importance for Maxima Grupė’s retail chains located in different countries. Therefore, our first goal is to define Franmax activities and services provided to retail chains, as well as to keep on strengthening our competencies. The trust shown by the Board is a great incentive to achieve our goals,” notes E. Šimė, the newly appointed CEO of Franmax.

Žygimantas Kocius, who has more than 20 years working experience in the IT field, will be a new head of Franmax IT center. Previously, he had been working at IT centers of Nasdaq, Western Union and Merck Sharp & Dohme.
