Povilas Šulys appointed as CEO of Franmax

Povilas Šulys has been appointed as the new CEO of the Maxima Grupė company Franmax, which provides the group’s companies with franchise and support services in the areas of IT, supply-chain and store development. He is replacing Eglė Šimė.

“Last year the group began refining the operations of Franmax seeking to improve the quality of the services the company provides and pool the competencies needed for that. We will continue to consistently follow that path to ensure the business needs of the group’s companies are met with efficiency and quality,” says Justas Riauba, Maxima Grupė’s chairman of the board and CEO.

Before taking charge of Franmax, Povilas Šulys was Head of Planning and Analysis at Maxima Grupė for almost 1.5 year. He has been working at Maxima Grupė companies for more than 3 years.

“The company’s priority will remain increasing operating efficiency, giving full attention to ensuring high quality services for the retail chains in the Baltics, Poland and Bulgaria. Together with the team, we will aim for Franmax to be a reliable partner that meets expectations during this stage of expansion and can react quickly to the fast-changing business environment,” Povilas Šulys says.

As the head of Franmax he is replacing Eglė Šimė, who has left the group. She had led Franmax since October 2018, after previously serving as the company’s head of IT center.

Seeking to refine and strengthen its international purchasing competencies, late last year Maxima Grupė announced a decision to reorganize Franmax. Its agency service operations were spun off in February this year to the newly established company Maxima International Sourcing. Franmax currently has more than 160 employees.
