Maxima in Estonia to be led by Edvinas Volkas, in Bulgaria by Peter Pavlov

Effective 16 July, Edvinas Volkas, until now head of the Maxima Grupė company in Bulgaria, has been appointed as the chairman of the board and the CEO of Maxima in Estonia. He will replace Marko Põder in that position. Peter Pavlov has been appointed as the CEO of Maxima Bulgaria.

Edvinas Volkas has been working at Maxima Grupė companies since 2001. During that time he has held various leading positions at different group companies, and for the last four years leading Maxima in Bulgaria. 2018 was the first year when Maxima Bulgaria reached a positive EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization), while the revenue grew 19.4 percent to 132.8 million euros.

Peter Pavlov will become the new CEO of Maxima Bulgaria. He has been the Chief Administrative Officer at the Bulgarian company since 2017. Peter Pavlov began his career at Maxima in Bulgaria in 2005, when the company was established.

I’m confident that both the newly appointed managers will help to ensure this,” says Jolanta Bivainytė, the head of Maxima Grupė.

Meri Navickė (Chairwoman of the Board), Jolanta Bivainytė, Kristina Meidė, Andris Vilcmeiers, Arūnas Zimnickas and Edvinas Volkas will continue working at the Board of Maxima Grupė.
