Polish Retail Chain ALDIK NOVA Joined MAXIMA GRUPĖ

MAXIMA GRUPĖ, UAB, took control over Polish retailer ALDIK NOVA (100% of shares), thus concluding the deal that had been started at the end of 2011 on the acquisition of the retail chain. ALDIK NOVA, which was established in 1991, manages the shopping centre chain ALDIK in Liublin and Podkarpackie (Subcarpathian) Voivodeships (Provinces).
 
MAXIMA GRUPĖ took over totally 21 shops of the chain, a bakery and a pastry-making unit. Overall area of ALDIK shops is over 25 000 sq. meters; the company employs 700 people. Mr. Žydrūnas Valkeris has been appointed the manager of the company ALDIK NOVA.
 
"We have acquired the retail chain in line with implementation of our strategic policy of expansion to foreign countries. We will learn more about the Polish retail market by managing the chain. Our major strategic directions for 2012 remain unchanged: the Group has been planning further moderate expansion abroad", says Mindaugas Bagdonavičius, MAXIMA GRUPĖ, UAB, General Director.
 
The shops that belong to ALDIK chain are located close to residential districts; the customers may choose from about 12 000 various products at the shops. Fresh bread and other pastry products in ALDIK shops have been especially appreciated by the customers. The chain has been awarded on a number of occasions for effective sales policy and high level of customer service.
 
MAXIMA GRUPĖ, UAB, is a controlling company registered in 2007; it manages retail companies in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria and Poland, which include 485 shopping centers MAXIMA X, MAXIMA XX, MAXIMA XXX, T-MARKET, T-MARKET EXPRESS and ALDIK: there are 220 of these in Lithuania, 136 in Latvia, 66 in Estonia, 42 in Bulgaria and 21 in Poland. All the companies under MAXIMA GRUPĖ, UAB, management employ over 28 thousand employees in all the countries.
