BAIP-designed Microsoft solution in the IT system of MAXIMA GRUPĖ companies

"The objective of the project was to develop a unified, updated and easily operated IT infrastructure covering management of access of over 5,000 user computer-aided workplaces (CWPs), centralised means of CWP control and modern e-mail solution", Mr. Romas Butkevičius, Manager of IT Management Centre for MAXIMA GRUPĖ, was saying.
According to him, the new technology will help to secure compatibility of IT tools used by employees of all divisions pertaining to the MAXIMA Group, as well as safety, which is of utmost importance. It is important for a chain operating on the international level to automate the processes of information and data sharing. Aiming at creating an updated, unified and easily operated IT infrastructure, MAXIMA GRUPĖ announced an international invitation to tender addressed to suppliers of IT services.
Lithuanian company BAIP that specialises in the field of critical IT infrastructure, together with its partner – global IT consultancy company GlassHouse International, won the contract and successfully implemented the project within nine months.
"The designed centralised system will facilitate management and maintenance of the Company's communication system from the level of an ordinary employee to the level of IT specialist. Henceforward, IT infrastructure of MAXIMA GRUPĖ companies will be centralised and unified to cover all divisions operating in the four countries: operator's enquiry to the computer of any other employee will be performed safely, effectively and promptly ", Mr. Kazimieras Tonkūnas, Managing Director for BAIP, was saying.
BAIP has designed IT infrastructure for MAXIMA GRUPĖ according to the Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft PKI technology.
Since the beginning of 2009, BAIP has been providing MAXIMA GRUPĖ with complex IT supervision service Copy Print, which enables the retail chain to save up to 30% of office machinery exploitation costs.
