New executives at Maxima Eesti and Maxima Bulgaria

MAXIMA GRUPĖ, which manages retailers in the Baltics, Poland and Bulgaria, informs about changes in the top management of MAXIMA Eesti and MAXIMA Bulgaria.
 
As of July 1 Vygintas Šapokas will head the Estonian retailer MAXIMA Eesti. Until now he worked as the director of MAXIMA Bulgaria, where on June 15 he will be replaced by Edvinas Volkas, MAXIMA Latvija Head of Business Development. Vaidotas Pačėsa, outgoing Executive Director of MAXIMA Eesti will resign upon completion of his term.

According to her, the Estonian company is entering into a new stage of development where it‘s new manager will be tasked with advancing existing business by strengthening its competiteveness and company‘s reputation, giving more consideration towards business culture, public relations and local communities. Another priority of the company – development and fine-tuning of business processes, expansion of large scale stores.

In the course of last three years MAXIMA Eesti enjoyed fastest growth among the group‘s companies in the Baltics. First MAXIMA XXX shopping mall in Tallinn is planned by the end of this year as well as the end of constructing a new logistics center.
 
V. Šapokas, who will head MAXIMA Eesti, has joined Lithuanian retailer MAXIMA LT in 2003, starting at the Commerce Department. Since 2009 he has managed MAXIMA Bulgaria, previously having worked as Head of Groceries and Basic Commodities Purchase at MAXIMA Latvija, as well as Head of Product Group at MAXIMA LT.
 
MAXIMA Bulgaria is tasked with expanding the chain by opening small neighbourhood T-Market stores and strengthening the brand positions in Bulgarian market.
 
E.Volkas, who will take over of as head of MAXIMA Bulgaria, has been with the companies‘ group for more than 10 years. Having joined MAXIMA LT team in 2001, in 2006-2008 he headed non-food purchases, later moved to the MAXIMA GROUP, UAB, and currently worked as a Business Development Manager at MAXIMA Latvija.
 
MAXIMA GRUPĖ is a holding company, established in 2007, that controls retail stores in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, and Bulgaria. It operates 525 stores MAXIMA X, MAXIMA XX, MAXIMA XXX, ALDIK and T-MARKET: 231 of them are located in Lithuania, 147 in Latvia, 75 in Estonia, 45 in Bulgaria and 27 in Poland.
