Responsible Supply Chain

We expect our suppliers to conduct their operations ethically and transparently, ensuring that their products are produced fairly with minimal environmental impact. To this end, we introduced the Supplier Code of Conduct in 2020.

This Code of Conduct outlines how our Group’s companies aim to operate sustainably with suppliers by encouraging them to adhere to ethical, professional, and fair practices. This includes respecting human rights, maintaining business ethics, and protecting the environment. Our suppliers are required to comply with all relevant laws and regulations in their countries, treat their employees fairly and respectfully, and ensure a safe and healthy working environment. We also require our suppliers to adhere to environmental laws and standards and to take responsibility for their environmental footprint.

On June 29, 2023, Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 on deforestation and forest degradation (EUDR) came into effect, initiating the integration of comprehensive due diligence procedures into the legislation applicable to the retail food sector. Understanding the significant impact this regulation will have on the supply chains of commodities at risk of deforestation and forest degradation and the products derived from them, we began working on this issue with our suppliers by the end of 2023.
