Our Sustainability Aproach

Our approach to a sustainable business model is implemented in five strategic areas: Our People, Our Customers, Our Supply Chain, Our Communities, and Our Environment. We believe that creating shared value in these areas is the greatest opportunity to make a significant contribution to sustainable development.

Sustainability
Materiality Map

In 2023, we began a double materiality assessment in accordance with the requirements of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). During 2024, the assessment results will be reviewed and refined based on emerging practices.

The results of the double materiality assessment are planned to be published at the beginning of 2025.

Stakeholders

To systematically identify and categorize these stakeholders, we use the Mendelow matrix – a reliable stakeholder identification system. This matrix is a tool that allows us to categorize stakeholders based on key criteria – their level of power and level of interest.

Umbrella goals

MAXIMA GRUPĖ has set short-term science-based targets, which have been approved by the SBTi organization. Achieving these targets requires contributions from various company activities, including energy consumption, refrigeration, transportation, packaging management, and others. To reach this goal, a set of tasks is established, with each task contributing to the overall objective.

Our Policies

Taking into account the specifics of each individual company and the characteristics of the country of operation, all group companies have prepared and implemented the necessary policies and procedures for their activities. Across the entire group of companies, foundational responsible business policies are uniformly applied.

Core Responsible Business Policies

This policy outlines the core principles of the Group's companies regarding gender equality and non-discrimination on other grounds, as well as provides implementation guidelines. Adhering to these guidelines ensures that the Group's companies uphold the highest standards of business ethics.

This policy outlines the core principles and requirements for corruption prevention within the Group, as well as provides implementation guidelines. This creates a framework and conditions for upholding the highest standards of business transparency throughout the Group.

The Supplier Code of Conduct outlines our Group's key expectations for all our partners, thereby enabling the implementation of the highest standards of business ethics within the supply chain. The Code reflects the Group's efforts to enhance sustainability collaboration with its suppliers by promoting lawful, professional, and fair business practices, including respect for human rights, business ethics, and environmental protection.

The business ethics code is intended for all employees of the group of companies in all markets, countries, and fields where "Vilniaus prekyba" or its companies operate (hereinafter referred to as the Company or Companies, comprising the entire group of "Vilniaus prekyba" companies).
