Press release
7 February 2013, Vilnius

The consolidated turnover of MAXIMA GRUPĖ UAB grew by 5.8% in 2012 compared with 2011 and amounted to 8.217 billion litas excluding VAT. Growth in turnover was driven by development of the network in Estonia and Latvia and the acquisition of the ALDIK NOVA retail chain in Poland.

"Growth in the Group's consolidated turnover was mainly based on development of the network in Estonia and Latvia, as well as acquisition of retail chain ALDIK NOVA in Poland," said Mindaugas Bagdonavičius, Director General of MAXIMA GRUPĖ UAB. "I would like to single out development in Estonia, where the first three MAXIMA XX shops opened in Tallinn last year. They offer the residents of Estonia's capital a wide assortment of fresh food, staples and industrial goods and have created new jobs."

The lowest growth in turnover of all companies operating in the Baltic States during the period was experienced by Lithuanian retail chain MAXIMA LT. Growth was 3.6%, equating to 4.568 billion litas. The turnover of MAXIMA Latvija grew 11.5%, totaling 2.187 billion litas. The turnover of MAXIMA Eesti increased by 15.4%, totaling 1.161 billion litas. The turnover of Polish company ALDIK NOVA reached 87 million litas (with turnover calculated from the date of the company's acquisition: 1 March 2012).
