MAXIMA GRUPĖ Makes More Than 2 Billion Litas in First Quarter of Year
In the first quarter of the year, the turnover of MAXIMA GROUP reached 2.29 billion litas (including VAT), and exceeded the turnover of 2007 by 34 percent (in the same period of the previous year the company's sales amounted to 1.7 billion litas).
 
 
The company MAXIMA LT, which operates in the Lithuanian market, made 1.47 billion litas this year, and 35 percent higher than its turnover in the first three months of the previous year.
 
The turnover of MAXIMA Latvija reached 560 million litas, exceeding last year's results by 25.8 percent.
The turnover of the company MAXIMA Eesti, which controls the MAXIMA network in Estonia, advanced almost 55 percent to 211 million litas.
 
The sales of MAXIMA Bulgaria rose almost 30 percent and reached 49 million litas.
 
MAXIMA GROUP companies operating in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Bulgaria currently employ more than 25,000 people.
 
MAXIMA GROUP operates retail businesses in the Baltic region and Bulgaria. It controls 412 stores named Maxima X, Maxima XX, Maxima, T-Market and Ermitažas: 224 stores are located in Lithuania, 121 in Latvia, 46 in Estonia, and 21 in Bulgaria.
