Retail Store Chain “ALDIK” Opened the First Store in Warsaw

The retail store chain "ALDIK" belonging to the Company "MAXIMA Grupė" opened the first store in the Capital City of Poland. It is the largest store of the chain so far, in which over 3.5 million Zloty (almost 2.9 million Litas) were invested. 50 jobs were created at the store established in the eastern part of Warsaw, L. Kondratovicze St. 39.
 
"In Poland, we have to compete not only with the local, but also with the strong international retail store chains. Thus, after the start of the activities in this country, it was important to perceive the local market and the customers' habits. After the positive evaluation of the results of the activities of the first year, we started the development of the chain and today opened the first store for the inhabitants of Warsaw. We hope that our efforts to meet the customers' expectations will be evaluated, and still in this year, in the Capital City of Poland, more "ALDIK" stores will open the doors," the General Manager of "MAXIMA Grupės", Mr. Mindaugas Bagdonavičius says.
 
"MAXIMA Grupė" acquired the retail store chain "ALDIK" in February 2012. The chain consisted of 21 store, the bakery and the confectionery workshop. Within two years, the stores, which operated in Lublin Voivodeship and Podkarpackie Voivodeship, changed gradually — part of them were renovated essentially, in the other stores, according to the customers' needs, the assortment of products was reviewed and rearranged.
 
"The customers of each state mostly value the products made in their country. Therefore, when forming the assortment of the fresh food, like in other countries, we give preference to the local producers. The assortment of the high-quality fresh food, formed according to the customers' expectations, is the strength of our retail store chain, which we will also persistently develop in the future," Mr. M. Bagdonavičius comments. According to him, the supply of the industrial products has been formed also according to the list of marketable products at the "MAXIMA" stores of the Baltic States.
 
From the glass-cases for the weighable products of the store opened in Warsaw, the customers may acquire the fresh and smoked meat, dairy products, and culinary products. Daily, from the bakery "7 grains" established in Lublin and the confectionery workshop at the store, the fresh baked products and confectionery products, which the customers of "ALDIK" in Lublin Voivodeship and Podkarpackie Voivodeship became fond of, will arrive. The products of total almost 10 thousand names are offered to the customers.

The retail store chain "ALDIK" in the year 2013 renewed 6 stores in Lublin and 1 store in Biłgoraj City. 8 more stores are planned to renovate and 10 new stores are planned to open, part of them in Warsaw, in this year.
 
"MAXIMA Grupė" is the holding company established in the year 2007, controlling the retail companies in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Bulgaria, which consist of 506 stores of "MAXIMA X," "MAXIMA XX," "MAXIMA XXX," "ALDIK," "T-MARKET," "T-MARKET EXPRESS:" in Lithuania, 229 stores operate; in Latvia – 143, in Estonia – 70; in Bulgaria – 42; in Poland – 22.
